Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Yo, yo — date night vibe, we cruised through the street, To Etica Pizza, where Naples and Adelaide meet. South-east corner, city lights low, But inside it was fire, like a wood-oven glow. We kept it classic, no need to stunt, Margarita pie, got that Neapolitan punch. Mushroom delight, earthy and rich, With a side of green salad that scratched the itch. Drinks were flowin’, sweet and chill, Italian vibes that gave us that Sunday thrill. Dessert came out, cannoli so clean, Tiramisù dream, like a movie scene. The homely feel — mamma would be proud, Staff so warm, like a Napoli crowd. Kitchen crew? Bellissimo, fam — They spin dough and fire like it’s part of the plan. We felt like we flew to the south of the boot, But stayed in the ’Laide, in our Sunday suits. We’ll be back no doubt, with the fam in tow, ‘Cause Etica got that southern soul and Neapolitan flow. Pizza with purpose, love in the crust — In Etica we trust, yeah, in Etica we trust."
"Wow, what an enjoyable evening with our fam. The staff particularly one young lad was amazing, his support, understanding and also knowledge of our dietary requirements was outstanding. It’s a cool little venue with fantastic super tasty food, simple healthy options bursting with flavour. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond. FYI hands down the absolute best pizza base ever!!!!"
"Etica! One of my favorite spots to visit for a pizza/pasta meal in Adelaide. I’ve never left disappointed no matter what I’ve ordered. The little wine list is outstanding, the setting is dark and moody but most of all the service and hospitality is incredible. You get the feeling you are having dinner at someone’s house which is exactly what you want at an Italian restaurant."
"We discovered this restaurant in a rather unexpected way. We had passed by this street many times before, but perhaps because we were always in a hurry, we never really noticed it. One evening, we met a young man outside who was taking photos of the restaurant. I’m not entirely sure if he was a staff member, but he proudly told us that he was working on something for the restaurant and mentioned that it had received a recommendation-type award. That instantly sparked our curiosity, and we decided to give it a try. The quality of the food did not disappoint at all. We visited in the afternoon and were almost the first guests of the day. We were seated close to the open kitchen, and throughout the meal, the staff chatted with us in a very friendly way and patiently explained the dishes. When we wanted to order more food, the staff kindly reminded us that it might be too much for two people. Somehow, my boyfriend and I still managed to finish everything. Probably because the food was just that delicious! We ended up heading home with very full and happy stomachs. It really was a memorable and enjoyable experience, and we’re very glad our curiosity led us here."
"Wandered to this pizza place nearby hotel when visiting Adelaide for the weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The pizza oven was huge! Nice atmosphere. Good vegan choices, especially loved the zucchini flowers."
"I am trying to add this review without sounding like I have cut and paste it from other reviews. The reason for this is because I truly believe you will not find a better pizza in Adelaide. Perfectly cooked, perfectly flavoured perfect proportion size. You are greeted at the gate by a small private courtyard with tables and chairs neatly spaced. The music played is chosen by a staff member and suits the ambience of the place. You have a projector playing all manner of random videos on one of the walls. When you look inside you see the beautiful pizza oven in the center of the room with the chef making the most delicious pizzas. The staff are very friendly and always keep our water topped up and table cleared without feeling like they are waiting right there. The meal came in great time. We had a baratta for starters which was so tasty. The pizzas which were the calabrese and a szbliski arrived soon after. We didn't feel rushed and could have sat for as long as we needed. This is a family run place and you can tell by the care and attention given to all the details while making you feel like your round at a friend's for a dinner Do yourself a favour and go and check it out. It is the best pizza I have ever had hands down."
"Etica was an absolute delight. Being greeted at the start for an 8pm booking, arriving slightly early and although the table wasn’t ready (understandable given how busy the restaurant was) The service was outstanding. (Frederico and team were engaging and attentive) with the food being nothing short of delicious. The straccatella was the highlight of the entrees with the antipasto also fabulous and the central kitchen really makes the restaurant feel like a theatre. We watched as pizza after pizza came out of the amazing white tiled, wood fired oven. Our “Margarita Extra” was phenomenal. Could not recommend Erica more highly. A fantastic experience, will be back."
"2025 Update: amazing again!! Revisited twice and it was wonderful. Staff welcomed us back and are so kind. Food was fabulous. Feed me menu = wow!!! 2024 Fabulous. So glad we found Etica on our first night here. Our waitress was amazing, friendly and welcoming. Moved furniture outside so that we had our own table. The croquette patata with rhubarb jam and whipped mint mayo (sounds odd but do try it!) was delicious and the pizza was cooked to perfection. Lovely place and highly recommend. Thanks for a great night."
